BEST Iasi was created in the year of 2000 at the initiative of some ambitious students from the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, who shared the same values as the other BEST members from Europe.
Today BEST Iasi has over 50 active members involved in all our events, sharing and supporting BEST’s mission, values and objectives.

The “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi is among the oldest and well-known institutions in the country, having an important tradition in engineering, scientific and cultural education, with a distinguishable presence on the international level. The university trains engineers with high qualifications, able to respond quickly and efficiently to the requirements of innovation, research and economic development. Moreover, the university carries on programs designed to continuously upgrade the engineers professional skills imposed by the tendencies appeared at a global level.
Founded in 1937, the Technical University “Gheorghe Asachi” of Iasi is divided into 11 faculties. 15000 students prepare for a successful career here. All the faculties are equipped with the latest technologies and worldwide recognized specialists perform their activities here.
University Campus comprises 22 residence halls in the Tudor Vladimirescu Campus area, which is near the university, and is situated at 5 minutes by car from the center of the city.
